What is Bee Lunar Company?
Hey. I'm Sara. The owner and founder of Bee Lunar Company, a natural beeswax skincare brand based in Fryeburg, Maine. I've gotten a lot of new followers recently, and I'm sure new visitors to my website. Here's my story. Bee Lunar Company has been in business for 3 years, as of March 2025, and I have expanded my product line to 20+ staple products ranging from salves to body butters to room sprays, creams and lotions to different oils and more. A few months after starting BLC, I was practicing formulas and doing research on ingredients, testing, lots and lots of testing, so much testing. Dreaming of everything I could possibly do with this new found venture, at the perfect time I was asked to attend a series of craft fairs, so to speak, the Friday Night Markets at the Hobbs Brewery in Ossipee, NH. I had no idea what I was doing. I had the tiniest table. My setup was mediocre but do you know how much money I made that first night? I'm not bragging, I was just blown away. I made $311. In 3 hours. I was hooked. And INSPIRED. I wanted to make everything perfect. That one series of events led me to about 60 +/-, craft fairs, markets or events in the next 2 years. I was out in the community meeting people, making connections, getting into stores and growing organically. While BLC was in the beginning stages I was also working for as a florist for Lemon and Tulips. I eventually had to slow down working weekends because that's when craft fairs were. Craft fairs launched my business to the point of growing enough of a following to setup a website and then eventually open a physical shop. At first, I was skeptical and turned down the offer to rent a space. A few months went by, summer was ending, I didn't have my fall craft fair schedule for nailed down yet but I had money in the bank. So I jumped. I freaking leaped. It was scary, I was freaking out. I scoured marketplace for furniture. I searched Pinterest for days on end looking for inspiration on how to set up a store. But really, the image I had in mind truly came to fruition. It was all happening! I wanted my shop to have character and style. I pictured a warm sunny vibe, where you could come in and feel relaxed, maybe smell a light floral fruity scent or even some warm beeswax from whatever I was making in the back.. somewhere where you can walk slowly and look, making sure you didn't miss anything in any nooks or crannies. Bee Lunar Companys brick and mortar has been open since November of 2023. It's been a blast. I love what Bee Lunar has done for me and the direction Bee Lunar is going in. I'm able to be available for my kids. I've never been so motivated and inspired. I love working for myself. I think I've always been one to help people, and I truly think that I make products that help people and make a difference. If you have any questions, just ask. I'm pretty much an open book.
